2008 Annual Merit Review & Peer Evaluation: Information for Oral Presenters
This page provides information for people who are making oral presentations at the
2008 Annual Merit Review & Peer Evaluation for the Department of Energy's Hydrogen Program.
Submitting Your Presentation
Your presentation is due to Rich Bechtold at rlbechtold@alliance-technicalservices.com by April 18th, 2008. If your presentation is too large to email, contact Rich at (443) 812-3921 for alternative delivery options. Because of the time required to process your presentation, reviewers may not receive your presentation prior to the review if it is submitted after the deadline.
Creating Your Presentation
Presenters will be allotted 30 minutes total—20 minutes for the presentation followed by 10 minutes for questions and answers. You will be stopped when your time is up.
Do not include any information that is copyrighted, proprietary, or confidential in your presentation. Presentations and review results will be made public after the review.
Your presentation must be in PowerPoint using the supplied presentation template (PowerPoint 2.3 MB). All presentations will be converted to PDF. Certain PowerPoint presentation features, such as movie files and animations, will not translate to PDF format. Please remove these features from your file before sending and submit these additional files separately along with your presentation in a PC-compatible format and indicate where they should be added to your presentation.
Please note that you will not be able to update your presentation or present any additional material at the review. However, any project advancements made since submitting your presentation may be described verbally.
Schedule Overview
Refer to the presentation schedule (PDF 574 KB) for the date, time, and location of your presentation. Minor changes to the schedule are likely; check the schedule for updates. Also view the hotel floor plan (PDF 549 KB) to find the locations. Download Adobe Reader.
At the Review Meeting
You will not need to bring a laptop or your presentation file(s) to present your project at the review. Your presentation will be preloaded as part of a single PDF file with the other presentations in your session.
After the Review Meeting
The results of the review will be published on the Web site for the Department of Energy's Hydrogen Program in September. You will receive an e-mail informing you when the results are online.
