National Research Council
The National Research Council (NRC) was established in 1916 and operates as a part of the National Academies, a private, nonprofit institution initiated under a congressional charter signed in 1863 by President Abraham Lincoln. The NRC provides DOE's Hydrogen Program with expert advice based on sound scientific evidence in matters involving science, engineering, and technology. The NRC is administered jointly by the National Academy of Science, National Academy of Engineering, and the Institute of Medicine through the NRC Governing Board.
NRC information for the DOE Hydrogen Program is available through various related reports and publications. Below is a selection of these publications.
